SVP, Creative Experience Design- Nickelodeon

Overview and Responsibilities

The SVP, Creative of Nickelodeon Experience Design provides creative leadership to teams developing, producing and implementing Nickelodeon licensed attractions, exhibits and entertainment, inclusive of resort programs, globally. This senior leader will ensure the development of a per project vision that meets creative and strategic objectives for the Nickelodeon brand and business in each market. This role focuses the creative teams, both internal and external, to optimize creative excellence while also meeting the objectives of our partners.

- Creative Development

- Attractions and Exhibits

- Entertainment

- Resort programs

This role ensures Experience Design group partners with Nickelodeon Creative Resources, Creative Strategy and Franchise Marketing teams to execute on current brand positioning, IP strategy, relevant expression of Nickelodeon IP, characters and story worlds and best-in-class brand and property design.


  • Lead all creative aspects of Nickelodeon’s global attractions, themed entertainment, resorts and experience development, inclusive of quality control.
  • Collaborate with business partners to design and develop world-class attractions and experiences that enhance the brand and deepen Nickelodeon’s connection with kids and families.
  • Works closely with Partnership Management team to ensure projects meet articulated expectations and goals of our partners.
  • In partnership with leadership team, hire and manage Orlando and any other international region based design studios, both staff and freelance personnel.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with leading design firms producing best-in-class work around the world.
  • Ensure creative process is collaborative with NCR, production, legal, and marketing, in both domestic and international territories, to ensure all work is approved/informed and drives brand/property creative goals.
  • In partnership with SVP Creative Operations, responsible for the development, allocation and tracking of department budgets, financial reporting and oversight of the office management duties
  • In collaboration with key stakeholders and within budget parameters, develop and maintain creative guides necessary to support recreation, hospitality and live entertainment lines of business.
  • Participate in the creation of all project budgets in collaboration with project management, partnership management and business teams. Ensure transparency on all budgeting activities and financial reporting.
  • Work closely with company partners, as well as approved architects, operators, design firms, consultants to lead the creative production process for the design and development of all projects.
  • Create training and quality control programs that ensure partners meet pre-approved brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Partnership Management team to enact adjustments based on guest satisfaction research, track performance and address issues with partners as they arise.
  • Establish and maintain a library of reference materials for use by the company and partners.
  • Negotiate and manage third party vendor agreements as required.
  • Partner with Business Development executives to provide feedback in the development and on going contract negotiations in relation to key milestones, potential budgets and other creative elements and or process issues that are reflected in the contracts.

Basic Qualifications

  • 15 years of strategic creative experience with management responsibilities in themed entertainment, attractions and/or hospitality
  • Prior experience in US and ex-US (EMEA, LATAM, et al)
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
