Mission and Summary
Themed entertainment agency seeks Executive Producer in a key leadership role acting across three categories: outwardly looking with clients, inwardly looking with project delivery and by managing project management teams across the Thinkwell Group portfolio including but not limited to: themed entertainment, cultural experiences, live events, etc. The Executive Producer has the duty and obligation to bring their expertise to bear on the biggest decisions facing teams and project leadership, including matters of project execution, mentorship and team building, business development, staffing needs and local strategy. As a key leader within the organization, the Executive Producer will contribute proactively to the strategic development of the studio as a senior member of the management team.
Functions and Responsibilities
Supports business development teams by analyzing opportunities, representing the company and managing client relationships.
- Educate clients on process and deliverable expectations and the overall production process - including scope delineation.
- Support the business development team in contract negotiations.
- Supports the business development team in representing the company in new market development, future and legacy clients.
- Propose kick-off strategies for new projects and orchestrate the transition between the business development team and the production teams.
Responsible for the delivery of projects assigned to his/her portfolio within prescribed financial, timeline, and creative parameters.
- Assists the Producer and/or Project Manager in establishing project budgets, schedules, and team composition.
- Assists the project management team with project strategies and implementation plans.
- Lead project kick-off meetings with clients to ensure handover to producer or project manager.
- Assists the project management team in clients management.
- Ensures budget control with the teams, as well as reporting and forecasting with the finance team.
- Ensures regular verification of project production in line with company quality standards.
- Trains and guides project teams in communication and risk management.
Supervise a production team of producers, project managers, and coordinators.
- Recruits, onboards, develops, analyzes performance and ensures the quality of the employee experience of the team under his/her supervision.
- Advises and supports the team in their career development and life balance.
- Promote and update best practices in production and project management.
- Assigns the best project management team according to the type of customer and the nature of the projects.
- Accompany teams during project start-up so that a quick and sustainable esprit de corps is formed.
- Work with the company's executive and management teams to support and implement operational changes.

Knowledge and Skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong experience working on multi-disciplinary, large complex projects, with many teams/members
- Strong knowledge base and project management skills relevant to the industry
- Excellent presenter, comfortable communicating with clients and representing the TAIT group
- Robust understanding of TAIT Creative Studio's corporate approach and needs, and commensurate ability to guide teams strategically
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking and taking the initiative
- Dedicated to the success of the company and colleagues -- demonstrates a perpetual willingness to guide teams through challenges
- Work well in a team environment -- be trustworthy, open, and collaborative and foster a culture of equity, respect, and growth
- Passion and a strong drive to constantly learn, innovate, and help the company grow
- Ability to work to fully understand the client and their journey.
- Ability to ensure each project manager, producer, and design manager understands the vision, the look, the feel, and the tone of deliverables.
- Experience building a highly-effective, world-class project management team by assisting with hiring, training, motivating, and setting leadership direction for all direct reports, and cross-functional teammates.
- Must attend executive and corporate meetings (when required.)
- Must participate in company revenue generation.
- Must establish, review, manage, and/or sometimes directly contribute to projects.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, including the coordination and flow of information and materials necessary.
Education and Experience
- 10+ years of relevant experience; Management background with a bachelor's degree in architecture, design, and/or theatrical arts. Architecture, interior design, theme park (design,) experiential marketing, zoo & museum (design,) marketing (agency,) special events, location-based entertainment, and/or other entertainment design-related fields are preferred.
- Extensive experience managing multidisciplinary teams through the many stages of design through delivery
Position Details
- Reports To Sr. Director of Projects
- Flexible remote work schedule with the option to work from our office in our LA office, or other locations.
